Biophysics/Biochemistry - Application of spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis absorption, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence, fluorescence anisotropy, dynamic and static light scattering), to the study of supramolecular aggregates and structural problems (e.g., localization and dynamics) of compounds of biological relevance in interaction with model system of membranes.

Molecular Biophysics - Ion channels, receptors, polyene antibiotics, ATPases.

Membrane Biophysics
- Lipid domains (rafts); lipid-protein interaction; DNA-lipid interaction; fluorescence microscopy (FCS, FRAP and FLIM); amyloid fiber formation, lipid phase diagrams; ceramide; FRET, PI(4,5)P2, bile acids

Photophysics - Study of excited state interactions (energy transfer and collisional fluorescence quenching) in micro-heterogeneous systems.
