Short Bio
|
Alfredo Ferreira is an Assistant Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon. He received his Ph.D. (2009), MSc (2005) and BS (2002) degrees in Information Systems and Computer Science from IST/TU Lisbon. He is also a researcher of the Visualization and Intelligent Multimodal Interfaces Group at INESC-ID since 2002. He works on 3D object retrieval and on multimodal and calligraphic interfaces. He participated in the SmartSketches and Eurotooling21 EC funded projects and is now involved in the MAXIMUS project, focusing his research on multi-user, large-scale and multi-display environments. At the national level he participated in the DecorAR project, being responsible for the 3D retrieval workpackage and is now responsible for the 3dORuS project, focusing in 3D object retrieval using sketches, and participating on MIVIS project, which focused on procedural modeling.
