A chemistry competition for students at secondary school level with the aim of promoting national and international contacts in chemistry.
Promoted at the national level by SPQ with the support of the centro de Química Estrutural and Department of Chemical engineering of Institute Superior Técnico.
Técnico opened the doors to elementary school and secondary school students, alumni and the public in general to various events that celebrate the anniversary of Instituto Superior Técnico. The CQE was present with many different activities one of those promoted by OM2 related with Nanomaterials
On the 26-27th of May we had the annual meeting of the research unit with 270 registered participants, 20 oral communications and 148 poster communications. Our junior researcher Carla Santos discussed her work on the conjugation of tetrapyrrolic macrocycles with graphene quantum dots
The CQE was present at this chemistry competition for students of high school and secondary school level with hands-on experiments, demonstrations and short lectures showing how Chemistry can play an important role to solve pressing societal issues related with health, energy storage and sustainability
