Computes (via Monte Carlo) the fraction defective in table manufacturing.
2024.Nov.25 04:56:52
μ, σ (cm) Mean and st-dev of leg (item) lengths.
a, b   (ab ⇒ no trunc.) Truncation a (min) and b (max). •
δ Max. inter-difference. •
N, .seed No. of items ("lot size"), random no. gener. seed. •
tolG, klass, ymax   ['0' (¬ '.0'): auto.] Tolerance, no. of histo. classes, max. y for graph. •
Show values Shows the coordinates of the graph. •

Simulates, via Monte Carlo, the lengths of (four) table legs, which follow a (common) truncated Gaussian distribution —or non-truncated iff ¬(a < b). A defective set corresponds to an "inter-difference" greater than δ ('tol diff' in the results) between opposite legs.

Plots pdf and cdf of table behaviour.

(The parameter 'tolG' is for the inversion of the Gaussian distribution.) The computing time for 500 000 items is about 8 s. Above ~30 s, execution may be halted (on the Internet).
