Confidence intervals: Gamma distribution
Computes confidence intervals for simulated equal size samples.
2024.Jul.03 18:27:31
T, n Number of samples, of (equal) size. •
μ, σ (both [X]) Gaussian μ and σ. •
prob % Confidence interval probability. •
Trials, .seed N. of trials and random n. generator seed. •
tol, npoints Tolerance for numerical inversion, and graph points. •
Show values ? Shows the graph coordinates.

Constructs, from simulated Gaussian equal size samples, the related 'pdf's, together with (conjectured) theoretical function, Gamma. It is: k = (T − 1) ⁄ 2, and θ = 2 ⁄ n. (This necessarily reduces to χ² for n = 1, the classical case.)

Graphs are drawn showing the matching Student and Gamma distributions. Cumulative functions are included.
