Variables sampling plan
    Determines n and k in inspection by variables (ANSI/ASQC Z1.9-1980, ex-Mil-Std-414).

nmin, n, nmax Sample size: minimum, proposed, maximum.
AQL, α %   % AQL (acceptable quality level) and α (Type I error).
LTPD, β %   % LTPD (lot tolerance percent defective) and β (Type II error).
The example is for: code letter "I", for which the OC curves are reproduced in this site.
    Finds n and k such that t(t0; n, δ1) = α and t(t0; n, δ2) = β (with t0 = kn), where δ1 = Φ−1(1−AQL) √n and δ2 = Φ−1(1−LTPD) √n. To read the solution in the output, search for n and k such that these two conditions are met. In the example shown, the answer is n = 25, with (k  α  β) = (1.85  7.0  9.9)  (9.9≅ 10%).
(To save space, "100.0%" has been replaced by "99.9%".)
