Tests μ against μ0. UNDER CONSTRUCTION
2024.Jul.03 18:22:11
n Sample size (for μ) or 0 (for data). •
Sample Iff n ≠ 0, sample average; or data. •
μ0, σ   Mean under test and st. deviation (ignored if 'unknown' and data). •
α % Level of significance (in percentage). •
Relation (R) Relation (<, = , >). •
Show values ? Shows graph coordinates. •

Performs a test of hypothesis on the mean, μ, against μ0, with the standard deviation, σ, considered 'known' or 'unknown'. It tests

Null hypothesis H0: μ  'R'  μ0
Alternative hypothesis   H1: μ  '¬R'  μ0

The base case is from Walpole & Myers [1989, 306], for which the results are z0 > 1.645 and z = 2.02: reject H0, i.e., μ > 70.

[Simulated sample with same average, 71.8 ...]
