The research interest of Rosinda Costa Ismael is in the area of separation processes and effluents treatment. The work done has been related to the use of Liquid-Liquid Extraction in order to remove heavy metals from sulphuric acid solutions. Some of the studies, related to the extraction of iron, have been carried out at continuous level in a pilot packed column.
