ADVANCE PROGRAM
- OVERVIEW
Methodologies for distributed objects are becoming more
important as distributed object technologies such as OMG/CORBA, IBM
SOM/DSOM, OpenDoc, Microsoft COM/OLE, Java and others are becoming
available. Distributed Objects raises methodology issues with respect
to descriptions of communication, coordination and concurrency.
- GOALS
The goal of the workshop is to assess the usability of current
methodologies for Distributed Objects, and to raise issues and
requirements for further development of methodologies for distributed
objects.
- FOCUS
- REQUIREMENTS FOR ATTENDANCE
The intended audience of this workshop are those who have been actively
involved in the development of systems based on distributed objects, and
those who are involved in development of methodologies for distributed
objects.
Interested participants should submit a 2-5 page position paper that
focuses on one of the relevant topics. Papers outside the suggested topic
areas will be considered and reviewed by the organizing committee.
Please include a brief biography at the end of the paper.
