Senior Researcher at the Visualization and Intelligent MultiModal Interfaces Group, INESC-ID, since 1998, being responsible for the scientific area of Multimedia Information Retrieval and Visualization.

PhD degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from IST/UTL in 2004, on the topic of Sketch-Based Retrieval in Large Sets of Drawings.
