Miguel Pardal's Personal Web Page

I'm years old and I live in Linda-a-Velha, Lisbon, Portugal. I'm married to Joana.

I'm passionate about life and knowledge. I like science, arts and other displays of intelect and intuition. I like literature, sports and, above all, to be with my family and friends.

I've been a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico since September 2002. Currently I'm working on my PhD on RFID data discovery, being advised by Prof. Alves Marques and collaborating with Prof. Sanjay Sarma, Auto-ID Labs, MIT.

My main teaching cou rses have been Distributed Systems and Information Systems Integration (POSI). It's a challenge that I like to respond with all my commitment and dedication! Currently I'm on a teaching leave.

My current research is about scalability and security applied to RFID data discovery.
