About Me
I am a post-doctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Chieko Asakawa and Kris Kitani. I received my PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon (UL), advised by Prof. Daniel Gonçalves. My main research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Non-Visual Interaction and Accessibility. I'm interested in taking advantage of human auditory capacities to help blind people to find their information of interest more rapidly. Other research interests regard Intelligent Virtual Agents and Information Visualization. I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science from IST, UTL.Regarding other activities I enjoy playing soccer (and sports in general), reading, watching TV series and mainly spending time with those close to me.
